Air pollution is a change in the air that can influence the health, survival and activities of organisms, including humans. Many of the world's largest cities today have bad air quality. Even 2,000 years ago, the Romans were complaining about the bad air in their cities at that time, the air was thick with smoke from fires and the smell of the sewers. Air pollution has been an on going danger to human health and the Earth's many ecosystems.
